Kelly grew up in Spokane and moved to Washington, D.C. for college, where she earned her undergraduate degree in international relations. While volunteering with pregnant women and families at a Free Health Clinic in D.C., she decided to go back to school to become a Nurse Midwife. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Nursing in 2007 and earned her Master’s in Nursing as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Frontier Nursing University in 2013. She has worked as a midwife at a large teaching hospital in DC, in community clinic settings in Spokane and currently serves as clinical faculty at the WSU College of Nursing. She also provides breastfeeding education and support as International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant.
Kelly is passionate about providing women’s and gender related care throughout the lifespan and encouraging people to become active participants in their own healthcare. She is committed to serving vulnerable populations and considers it an honor to work with women and families from all different backgrounds.
Kelly is married to a fun-loving husband, John, and together they are raising their four awesome children. She is an avid reader, loves to be outdoors exploring, and enjoys a good card game. Kelly looks forward to meeting you!
